The Lego video game franchise has already put out titles based on massive properties such as Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and others. But what's coming next? According to reports from ComicBook and Eurogamer, series developer TT Games is working on Lego games based on Pixar's The Incredibles and another focusing on DC Comics villains.

The Incredibles game is rumored to tie into Pixar's much-anticipated The Incredibles 2, which comes out in June 2018. The Eurogamer report says this unannounced title will span the stories of the 2004 original and the sequel, while also referencing other Pixar movies. This would be the first Pixar movie to get a Lego video game adaptation.

As for the DC villains game, ComicBook reports that it would feature a roster of nasty characters such as The Joker, Lex Luthor, and Harley Quinn. Given that the Lego series is aimed at children, we would expect this game to be lighthearted in nature, as all Lego games are.

This is all unconfirmed for now, so there is no word on release dates or platforms. Warner Bros. declined to comment on these rumors when contacted by Eurogamer.

That more Lego games are on the way is no surprise, given that the series is one of the biggest on the planet in terms of sales. The franchise has sold more than 100 million units as of 2014, putting it in the realm of series like Mario, GTA, and FIFA. The latest entry in the licensed series was 2017's Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2.
