The Wolf Among Us Episode 2 releases on PC, PlayStation 3 Feb. 4, Xbox 360 Feb. 5

Episode two of The Wolf Among Us, Smoke & Mirrors, will hit PC, Mac, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita in the US Feb. 4, and Xbox 360 and Sony platforms in Europe Feb. 5, developer Telltale announced on Twitter. The game will come to the iTunes App Store next week.

It's been four months since the first episode of The Wolf Among Us came out, a much longer wait than Telltale had hoped for, but it said that this is an unusual case. "We are very concerned about the long delay for this episode," Telltale's Kevin Bruner said on the company forums, "but this is one of those occasions where several things conspired against us (not to mention the additional delays due to the holidays). I won't dive into the details, but it’s been an unusual and specific set of circumstances and we do not anticipate it happening again as we go forward with the rest of the season."

The first episode of The Wolf Among Us, which is based on Bill Willingham's Fables comic book series, was released back in October 2013. The total season will have five chapters, which Telltale said would be released by the end of summer 2014.

GameSpot's Kevin VanOrd awarded the first chapter of the series a score of 8.0.
