The Witcher board game revealed, tablet version also in the works
CD Projekt Red expanding fantasy universe with new tabletop game and digital version for iOS and Android tablets.
CD Projekt Red today announced The Witcher Adventure, a new 2-4 player board game that will be published by Fantasy Flight Games. A digital version for iOS and Android tablets is also in the works. The board game launches sometime this year, while the mobile iteration is slated as "coming soon."
The Witcher Adventure was designed by board game designer and writer Ignacy Trzewiczek. As part of the game, you'll be able to play as one of four characters from the Witcher franchise: Geralt, Dandelion, Triss Merigold, and Yarpen Zigrin.
"A variety of quests invite players to hunt monsters, earn gold on dangerous missions, and interact with the characters they meet in a web of alliances and treachery," CD Projekt Red said about the board game.
More information about The Witcher Adventure Game is available at its newly launched website.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launches later this year for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It is the final entry in Geralt's story, but not necessarily the last game in the series. For more, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
