The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine's Unique Monsters and Places Featured in New Video
The biggest mountain in the world and a spoon-collecting monster are just a few of the things that populate the land of Touissant.
The Witcher 3's upcoming expansion, Blood and Wine, releases on May 31, and developers from CD Projekt Red have put together a video in which they discuss what players can expect to see in the France-inspired land of Touissant.
The video talks about what makes Touissant unique, which comes in the form of its locations and monsters. The region is full of vineyards, which are overlooked by "the biggest mountain in the world," Mount Gorgon, and an elven-like palace. You can take a look at these places in the video below.

Touissant is described by writer Tomasz Marchewka as "something out of a fairy tale," but things like thieves and monsters continue to be a problem in Geralt's next adventure. Monsters unique to the region include the plant-like Archespore and giant centipedes. Senior environment artist Marcin Michalski even mentions a "cursed spoon-collecting monster" that lives in an abandoned house.
Game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz has said that Blood and Wine is the last thing that will be added to The Witcher 3, as CD Projekt Red will shift its focus towards Cyberpunk 2077. However, Tomaszkiewicz does hope that the developer will make another Witcher game.
Blood and Wine will feature over 90 quests across more than 30 hours of gameplay. It'll come with over 30 new weapons and more than 20 new monsters, and according to artist Len de Gracia, it'll feature better graphics than the base game.
