Ubi Soft Entertainment has announced that The Sum of All Fears, its tactical action game based on the Tom Clancy novel of the same name, has shipped to stores. The game's release will coincide with the theatrical debut of Paramount Pictures' film, The Sum of All Fears, which opens this Friday, May 31. The game is based on the events featured in the novel and the movie. Players assume the role of a member of an elite FBI hostage rescue team in 11 single-player missions set in modern-day locations around the world. The game also includes multiplayer support, with six multiplayer maps, for up to 36 players over Internet connections.

The Sum of All Fears was developed by Ubi Soft's Red Storm Entertainment, and it will soon be available in stores for an approximate retail price of $29.99. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
