The Steam Lunar New Year Sale Is Live Now

The first major Steam sale of 2021 is here: The Steam Lunar New Year Sale has begun, offering thousands of game deals for PC gamers to take advantage of. Unlike some Steam sales that run for two weeks, the Steam Lunar New Year Sale is only happening for a few days, ending February 15 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.

The Lunar New Year Sale features a wide range of deals across multiple genres, including action games, co-op games, RPGs, anime games, and more. As this is one of Steam's smaller annual sales, the only special activity is the ability to claim a free animated ox sticker every day of the sale, as 2021 is the Year of the Ox.

Notably, a Sega Lunar New Year sale is happening as part of the overall Steam sale, offering markdowns on Persona 4 Golden, Yakuza 0, Alien Isolation, Total War: Three Kingdoms, and more.

The dates for the 2021 Lunar New Year Sale leaked back in January via Steam Database (@SteamDB) on Twitter, an unofficial account that tracks various updates to the platform. Steam sale dates leaking has become a tradition at this point, and with Lunar New Year officially beginning on February 12, we expected the Steam Lunar New Year Sale to kick off in time for this weekend.
