Aspyr Media has announced that it will release The Sims: Hot Date, Maxis' latest virtual-life game expansion, for the Macintosh OS X later this year. The PC version of Hot Date, published by Electronic Arts, has remained among the best-selling PC games since its release in November.

Hot Date is the third add-on to The Sims, EA's highly popular virtual-life game, and it lets players take their sims outside of their homes on dates with other sims. It features a new downtown area where sims can meet and enjoy a variety of activities, such as going to restaurants, going to the park, shopping for clothes, dancing, and going to the beach.
