Nokia and Electronic Arts have today announced that they are working on a version of The Sims Bustin' Out for the N-Gage. The game will let players create their own sim characters and will boast a number of objects exclusive to the N-Gage platform as well as unique minigames in which players can earn extra simoleans (sim currency).

"The Sims is particularly well suited to mobile connected gaming on the N-Gage game deck," said Pasi Pölönen, director of game publishing at Nokia's games business unit. "It is a great example of how the N-Gage platform and its mobile connectivity features can be used to create innovative and inspiring gameplay, as well as create a completely new mobile community of The Sims fans."

"We are excited that the award-winning The Sims franchise will be available for a new generation of mobile gamers," added EA's executive vice president of North American publishing, Nancy Smith. "N-Gage players will enjoy the irreverent humor of The Sims and the ability to play this unpredictable game anywhere."

The N-Gage version of The Sims Bustin' Out is currently scheduled for release in the first half of this year, and, according to today's press release, it will have gameplay features that take advantage of the N-Gage platform. We'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.
