The Sims 4 Patch Makes Your Sims Pee Fire Thanks To A Bug
The latest Sims 4 patch has had some unintended consequences.
The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle expansion is now available, but an update that EA rolled out just prior to its release has had some unintended consequences. It appears that the latest Sims 4 patch is making Sims pee fire.
If it all sounds a bit dramatic, that's because it might well be. Sims 4 players have been reporting that using the bathroom after the latest patch has resulted in fires springing up in toilets. This is an uncommon sight even in the rather wacky universe of the Sims, and the official subreddit for the game has been afire with players commiserating with each other over this strange occurrence.
The common consensus appears to be that it is the result of the latest Sims 4 patch. As reported by Rock Paper Shotgun, there have been a number of other strange bugs popping up in the wake of this content update, including issues with crashes, save files not functioning as intended, and of course, this particular burning issue.
The Sims 4 patch that brought all this on had a number of significant overhauls to how Sims 4 works now, which may also explain the severity and frequency of the problems experienced by players now. There have been changes to fixture placement, a bunch of other updates for neighborhoods, and tweaks to how NPCs work in advance of Eco Lifestyle arriving. The patch notes for the update on June 3 can be viewed in full on EA's official site for the Sims 4 here.
Eco Lifestyle aims to give Sims 4 players a taste of the greener side of life, allowing new options like solar panels, community initiatives, and dynamic changes to your in-game world depending on how environmentally friendly you are. While this unfortunate urinary incident was clearly unplanned, those who buy this latest expansion will a chance to put out the fire of climate change at their leisure.
