UK-based publisher Cenega announced in a short press release that its third-person role-playing game for the PC, The Roots, has been delayed until the end of February next year. Cenega said that Polish developer Tannhauser Gate needs the extra time "to produce the game everyone is hoping for." When they get their hands on the 3D fantasy game in 2005, players will assume the role of Yan as he explores more than 24 different regions in the world of Lorath. An Xbox version of The Roots is also in the works. Cenega and Tannhauser Gate are also working on a prequel for the N-Gage, called The Roots: Gates of Chaos, which is due for release in November.
