The first trailer for the upcoming big screen reboot of Baywatch is here. The movie stars Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron and looks set to mix beach-based action and raunchy comedy. Check it out below:

Baywatch is directed by Horrible Bosses' Seth Gordon, and is set for a May 19, 2017 release. It also stars Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Priyanka Chopra, Jon Bass, and Ilfenesh Hadera, with a cameo expected from the show's original star and producer David Hasselhoff. In February, Johnson posted a picture of him and Hasselhoff on set together.

Last year, Efron spoke about what audiences could expect from this modern retelling of the lifeguard drama. "We're going to make it badass, but we still want to pay homage to the original show," he told MTV. "It's really a careful combination. It's going to be badass, for sure. We're going to beat up some dudes, and swim a lot."

The original Baywatch ran from 1989 to 1999, with a subsequent show, Baywatch Hawaii, airing until 2001. It was a huge international hit, and had clocked up a total of 242 episodes by the time it was cancelled.
