Actor Danny DeVito, who played The Penguin in the 1992 Tim Burton movie Batman Returns, is keen to return to the Batman franchise someday, if it ever works out. Speaking to SFX Magazine, DeVito said he "would definitely consider" signing on to come back to the DC universe.

He said he enjoyed playing Oswald Cobblepot in Batman Returns, saying the character had multiple dimensions and "things churning inside of him" that made the villain fun to play.

"It was an emotional experience for me because I felt it was an opportunity of a lifetime to play Oswald Cobblepot with Tim's vision and design," DeVito said.

Batman Returns also starred Michael Keaton as Batman and Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman. The movie picked up Academy Award nominations for Best Makeup and Best Visual Effects.

Keaton recently appeared in The Flash through the multiverse, so naturally people are wondering if other actors who played major DC roles years ago could appear in future projects.

DeVito's next big studio movie is Haunted Mansion, which is based on the Disney theme park ride of the same name. DeVito plays a university professor named Bruce in the movie, which releases July 28.
