Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth will feature a side activity called Dondoko Island, which looks like an Animal Crossing game. Dondoko Island features an island life-sim, separate from the usual crime-filled chaos of the Yakuza series, giving the characters a chance to relax.

Revealed during the Xbox Partner Preview, Dondoko Island is a side activity that will become available during Chapter 6 of Like A Dragon: Infinite wealth. Ichiban will travel to the small island, where he can collect resources, fish, and decorate. Dondoko Island appears to have a ton of depth to it, letting you both purchase and craft decorations, not just for your own home but for the whole island.

The island decoration appears to be pretty in-depth as well. The gameplay shows the ability to customize not only the interior of your home, but the surrounding exterior as well, with the option to create pathways and add features like a fountain.

You can build out the town on Dondoko Island, which will allow you to have guests stay there. The gameplay shows a resort rating, along with a popularity meter. Of course, it's still got a bit of that Yakuza flair, as you will have to defend the resort from unwanted intruders. There are massive decorations to build and campfire parties as well, so Dondoko Island should provide a nice breather from beating down criminals in Hawaii.

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth launches on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC on January 24, 2024.
