The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Confirmed For Nintendo Switch

Uhh...No ...just no. Zelda titles dont have sequels. What are we gonna get the same world, but with more missions. as much as I love zelda, the initial idea is a big letdown

It was so good! I can't wait for a second. Best game I've played in a long time (possibly ever) and I've been playing for a long time. My only complaint was that is was too easy (needed a harder difficulty option). Once you got some decent weapons and armor, everything was pretty easy, especially the so called bosses. Loved the feel of the world, the magic, the mystery of it all. A truly feel good game.

I may be in the minority, but while I thought Breath of the Wild was a well constructed game, it was far from perfect. The weapon breakage system is, of course, an issue, but it also did not make much effort at storytelling for a modern game. I don't regret beating it, but I'd be hesitant to dive into another similar game. I'm looking forward to the Link's Awakening remake much more than a BotW sequel, Link's Awakening is my second favorite Zelda title, next to A Link to the Past.

I suppose my nostalgia for Zelda titles ended with the old 2D ones, as I truly disliked Ocarina of Time, to the point where I haven't played any subsequent Zelda titles up until Breath of the Wild. To its credit, BotW was immensely better than Ocarina, but not at the level where a sequel excites me.

This is all just personal subjectivity of course, I have no doubt a BotW sequel will be quite successful, as the original was largely well received.

E3 2019 colour me underwhelmed

I would have to take off 1 or 2 points; Nintendo teased us by showing Donkey Kong and Ditty Kong and then only showing a DLC new character (Banjo-). Also, before E3 they said they would not show Metroid because they would only show off games for 2019 yet they showed a sequel to Zelda: BOTW. What the heck?

Nintendo never fails to amaze me.

Although BoTW did not have an amazing story, the content the game brought was great. The DLCs I did not really give a crap about tbh, base game was good enough.

The only thing I disliked were the Boss-fights (easy as hell, easier than some regular mobs out there), and the weapon breaking system was a royal pain in the ass.
Nevertheless, automatic purchase for me.

Please don't have the shitty weapon breaking system again.

This was the LAST thing I expected to hear. Holy crap!

But still no Metroid.

Beyond hyped, I did not expect to see this today.

My girl, and I, are definitely getting this one. We thoroughly enjoyed BotW. If any of the Zelda games got a direct sequel I am glad it is this one. A darker Wind Waker sequel would have been cool as well.

I do hope they release the HD remaster of TP, WW, and SS. I never got to play TP, or SS.

This one seems like a darker tone than BotW, which I am very excited about.

I would've preferred a Twilight Princess sequel or Wind Waker 2, but okay. The story side of BoTW was kinda weak.

If they make this two player co-op w/ Zelda + Link, I'd buy another switch and subscribe to their silly online service just to play it!

Towards the end of the Zelda reveal it shows Hyrule Castle rising higher. I wonder if its going to teleport to another realm, land, or perhaps turn the same BoTW Hyrule inside out ...
