The Last Of Us 2's Full ESRB Listing Has Been Revealed, Mentions Gruesome Violence And More
Players can expect gruesome violence, depictions of drug use, and at least one sex sequence.
The official ESRB listing for The Last of Us Part II has been published, providing some additional details on the type of content players can expect. As you would imagine, the game has received an M-for-mature rating, and the description lists off some of the mature-themed content players can expect.
The description contains what could be perceived as light spoilers, so be aware of that if you choose to read on. SPOILERS FOLLOW BELOW.
The description mentions how players will kill "infected mutants" during sequences of "frenetic combat." There will also be depictions of extreme violence, including a human who is hung from a noose and then disemboweled. There are also some sex sequences, while two characters will also smoke weed. In other news about The Last of Us Part II, Naughty Dog has settled a music dispute with an indie artist over the use of a song in a recent trailer. Additionally, the game features the Pearl Jam song "Future Days," and Naughty Dog had work hard to convince the band to allow the song to be used.

In addition to PS4, The Last of Us Part II will be playable on PlayStation 5 later this year, alongside thousands of other PS4 titles. Sony's PS5 event is scheduled for June 11.
