The Lady Gaga Gucci Murder Movie Is Assembling A Massive Cast Of Huge Names

Alien and Gladiator director Ridley Scott is assembling a massive cast of huge names for the movie he'll make after his current project, the period drama The Last Duel.

Deadline reports that the cast for Scott's new film about the assassination of Maurizio Gucci will feature Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, Jack Huston, and Reeve Carney.

Lady Gaga, who was announced earlier for the film, will star as Patrizia Reggiani. She was convicted of ordering the killing of her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci, the former head of the fashion company empire, in 1995. The film will tell the story of the Gucci family drama.

Scott's current project, The Last Duel, is still filming (it's due to resume next week), so it will likely be some time before the new Gucci film begins to come together in a real way.

The Gucci movie, which doesn't have a title yet, was written for the screen by Roberto Bentivegna, who adapted it from Sara Gay Forden's book, The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.
