Former Battlefield devs Embark Studios has announced it'll be having a two-week closed beta for its upcoming free-to-play shooter, The Finals.

The closed beta will run March 7-21, and to sign up, players must visit the official Steam store. The dev team will fix bugs and adjust gameplay based on the feedback they receive.

Throughout the beta, players will be taken to two iconic locations. One of the maps will have you fighting on skyscrapers above Seoul, and the other map will have you playing in old-town Monaco fighting through the French Riviera. There will also be a practice mode that'll allow you to test out weapons, gear, and movement.

In addition, you will also be able to play in highly competitive ranked tournaments to climb up the leaderboards or, alternatively, play in a casual mode. Players will be rewarded with in-game and cosmetics throughout the two-week closed beta.

The Finals is a free-to-play team-based FPS, where players work alongside their teammates to reach The Finals. The maps in-game are also based on real-world iconic locations, and players can change the map by destroying specific areas of it.
