The Fellowship of the Ring ships for the PS2

Black Label Games announces that the PS2 version of its Tolkien-inspired adventure game has shipped to stores nationwide.

Black Label Games has today announced that the PS2 version of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is now in stores. The game, which is based on the first Tolkien book in the Lord of the Rings series as opposed to the movie, is a third-person action adventure in which players get to explore Middle-earth as Frodo, Aragorn, and Gandalf.

"The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring offers PS2 gamers and Tolkien fans a sophisticated combat system as well as numerous opportunities to interact with other members of the Fellowship as they explore the seamless environments of Middle-earth," said Torrie Dorrell, general manager of Black Label Games.
