The Division Doesn't Include Brooklyn at Launch

A slight bummer, but doesn't affect whether I'll be getting the game or not (still most likely will). Hopefully they don't charge for Brooklyn as DLC though.

When a normal adult hears a game will have DLC:

"Awesome! That means if I really like the game I can get more out of it without having to wait for a sequel! "

When an entitled brat hears about DLC:

"OMG I can't believe it! The executives are now trying to make money off of this game! They cut the game up just to steal from us! I already own this game and now I'm going to sue for them stealing the DLC that already belongs to me!"

The bigger problem is how long can people stand to be in NY city? A good number of people think this is just a 3rd person shooter where you die in 1-7 bullets. See a few maps are okay in a standard fps/tps like rainbow six siege or older game like socom (sorry only tps i can think of, don't know how many maps are in Gears of war) but in a game that is based around grinding gear its already bad you are dealing with a game based on reality (basically will be fighting humans with different clothes on) but now you are fighting in a 1:1 NYC. What are they going to do mix it up by letting you fight in the sewers and inside of a museum?

Once I was young and dumb and eager to sell things. My teacher told me if you train your customers like dogs they will know no better and you will be able to sell anything.

Basically same story with destiny and alike. Serve any shit you want but make sure serving is done right - marketing, sales techniques etc.

Stop comparing this to Destiny, at least they didn't fire their director, scrapped tghe whole game one month before release, didn't lie to everyone in their faces about open world freedom, so far all they did was remove an area that was only shown in videos, which where clearly marked pre-production and therefore not part of the final content. If anything tyhey are keeping it as close to the product they promised as possible, I'm already happy about their not being a trading system, and (so far) no microtransactions. I know in the futre they might add them, but as long as it's at a point where it's just as much of an option as not getting one I'm ok (pretty much a complete oposite of Destiny, where their "cosmetic" microtransactions get you gear and leveling items). And for us who played the Alpha we know how awesome the game looks, Dark Zone does need some work but let's see how it changes during Beta, with a global imput we should see some changes during testing.

If you look at the image released it's a portion of midtown Manhattan. The story was tailored towards DLC, Ubi can eat balls.

DLC baby generation of gamers, direct debit your mom and dads credit card for your microtransacions, season passes, packs and in game currency.

This game will be Destiny all over again. The players that get addicted to it's skinner box reward system will fight to the death defending the game online and spend stupid money on the DLC and inevitable micro transactions sure to be added later. They will tell you how they have spent 500+ hours doing the same exact activity over and over and it's awesome and you're stupid for thinking it's garbage. No matter how deplorable and creative these publishers get, they know they will always have an audience that will not only buy everything they charge for, but these players will also do all their marketing and PR work too! I mean, people still pretend Destiny is not a rip off built off the same addictions casinos use and some gamers out there actually buy Madden Ultimate Team card packs and Evolve DLC. Gamers are the new generation of QVC-shoppers.
