The Division 2 Update 11 Introduces Gear Appearance Customization
The Transmogrification feature will be available to all The Division 2 players once Title Update 11 launches.
Also known as Appearance Mods, Transmogrification allows you to alter the look of your gear. This will let you achieve any desired aesthetic without messing with the gear's attributes. All gear types, from common Worn items to high-end Gold equipment, can have their looks changed to match any of the brands you acquired during play. Special gear like Exotics, however, can't be changed in any way. Additionally, other gear can't look like Exotics.
Still, all other manners of Transmogrifications are possible. To apply an Appearance Mod to your gear, you'll simply "Inspect" the item as if you were to customize it normally. From the "Inspect" menu, you'll see a new "Mod Appearance" option where you can apply any look you desire.
Appearance Mods unlocked for one character will carry over to additional characters. You can also "Favorite" any Appearance Mods you wish to have quick access to. And just like a dye or standard mods, Appearance Mods can be changed, removed, or replaced as many times as you want.
The Transmogrification feature will be available to all players once Title Update 11 launches. There's currently no release date for the update, but following the release of Title Update 10.1 in July, developer Massive Entertainment said TU11 is in the works and information will be unveiled soon.
In other The Division 2 news, the servers have come back online following a recent maintenance update. The patch notes are brief and straightforward, resolving issues with Clan XP and DELTA-03 errors when equipping Exotic weapons.
