A new show is set to come spinning out of the Arrow-verse. The CW has officially ordered Superman And Lois to series to follow the adventures of the Man of Steel and the Daily Planet's star reporter, GameSpot has confirmed.

The new series will star Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent and Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, both reprising their roles from Supergirl and the massive Arrowverse crossover event, Crisis On Infinite Earths. The show is currently still in the scripting stage but will be written and executive produced by former The Flash showrunner, Todd Helbing, with Arrowverse regulars Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Geoff Johns signed on to executive produce as well.

Superman And Lois will follow Clark and Lois as they "they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society," according to a plot synopsis from The CW We can assume those stresses, pressures, and complexities are only compounded by being, well, superheroes on top of everything--you know how it goes. This brief synopsis also means we can likely expect to see an expanded role for Jon Kent, Clark and Lois's son who was introduced in the comics several years ago and eventually took over the Superboy mantle. Jon was introduced in live-action as a baby during the Crisis On Infinite Earths event.

Superman And Lois is set to begin filming in the spring. The Arrow-verse's Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover event will conclude tonight, January 14, on The CW.
