Take-Two Interactive has announced that its real-time strategy game The Corporate Machine has gone gold and will soon ship to stores. The game lets players control a business in one of four industries--automobiles, aircraft, cola, or computers--and they must build factories, offices, and research facilities in order to help their empire grow. Through marketing, engineering, and technology, players can corner the market and create a monopoly.

In addition to its basic strategic gameplay, the game will feature "direct actions cards", which are dynamic user-activated events that will generate unpredictability. Using these cards, players can recruit executives away from the competition, incite a labor strike at an enemy factory, or initiate a number of other actions. The game will also include multiplayer support for up to eight players over a LAN or Internet connection.

The Corporate Machine was developed by Stardock Entertainment, and it will be available in early July for an approximate retail price of $19.99. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game and download the playable demo linked below.
