With so many comic book adaptations hitting TV networks and streaming services, it's hard to stand out from the pack. Thankfully Amazon Prime Video's adaptation of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's The Boys did it brilliantly--it was violent, clever, funny, and totally addictive. The gory first trailer for Season 2 was released late last year, and this week we will found out when the new season arrives.

The Season 2 release date will be revealed in an online cast reunion that's taking place tomorrow, Friday June 26, at 2 PM ET/11 AM ET. The event is titled "The Boys F***in' Reunited," and will be hosted by comedian Patton Oswalt, who is also set to appear in Season 2. The news of the reunion was announced in a NSFW tweet from showrunner Eric Kripke, and you'll be able to watch it here:

We don't yet know which cast members will appear in the reunion, but Kripke states that there will be clips from Season 2 and "secrets" about the new season, as well as the reveal of the premiere date.

The Boys focuses on a group of people without powers looking to take down a group of superhumans known as The Seven, who may save lives but abuse their powers in various ways. It stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, and Karen Fukuhara. Season 1 was released by Amazon in July 2019.
