A new teaser for The Book of Boba Fett has been released. The latest Star Wars series stars Temuera Morrison as the legendary bounty hunter and premieres Disney+ on December 29.

The teaser opens with the words "I am Boba Fett... left for dead on the sands of Tatooine," a reference of course to his apparent demise in Return of the Jedi. But as we know, he survived, and in this new show returns to take control of the criminal organization once run by Jabba the Hutt. There's only one shot that wasn't included in the first trailer--Boba recovering in what could be a bacta tank--but it's hard not to get excited about the promise of this show. Check it out below:

Two new character posters have also been released, showing Boba and the assassin Shand, played by Ming-Na Wen. Check them out below:

The showrunners on The Book of Boba Fett are Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Robert Rodriguez. Favreau and Filoni also executive produced the previous Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, while Rodriguez directed an episode of The Mandalorian Season 2. No other cast members have been revealed yet.

The Book of Boba Fett is just one of the many new Star Wars TV shows and movies in the works. Other upcoming series include Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ahsoka--check out the recent Obi-Wan Kenobi sizzle reel here. However, the future of the franchise on the big screen is less certain, following the indefinite delay to Patty Jenkins' Rogue Squadron.
