Best Tempered Glass Nintendo Switch Screen Protector

Nintendo Switch screen protectors come in two styles: tempered glass and plastic. We recommend tempered glass over plastic, because they provide better protection against scratches and tend to hold up much better over time. Tempered glass protectors are also much easier to apply correctly. Plus, all of the options we've recommended come with guide stickers and other helpful accessories like cleaning cloths, squeeze cards, and dust removers to help you with the application process.

There is no shortage of tempered glass screen protectors for Nintendo Switch. We've chosen three different options. Our favorite tempered glass screen protector is made by amFilm. At 0.3mm of thickness, it's thin while still offering great resistance to scratches. While you can tell that the protector is on your screen, it's transparent and isn't noticeable while playing. The amFilm protector has a 9H hardness rating, which makes it extremely formidable against cracks, even if you happen to drop your console. The amFilm tempered glass screen protector comes in sizes for Switch, Switch OLED, and Switch Lite in two- and three-packs.

For a slightly thinner option, check out Orzly's tempered glass screen protector for Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite. It comes in at just 0.24mm, making it even less noticeable than amFilm's protector. Orzly's Switch screen protectors come in packs of two. Meanwhile, if you have youngsters around, you may want to go with Supershieldz 0.33mm tempered glass protector. it has Hydrophobic and Oleo-phobic coating to combat smudges and sweat marks. Supershieldz tempered glass protectors are available in two- and three-packs for Switch, Switch OLED, and Switch Lite.

Best Plastic Nintendo Switch Screen Protectors

Some people can't stand the look of glass screen protectors. Even ultra-thin ones tend to add some bulk to a screen. If you're in that camp, a plastic screen protector for your Nintendo Switch may be a better option. While plastic screen protectors don't withstand the test of time as well as tempered glass protectors, they are less noticeable on the display. It must be said that plastic screen protectors, just like the Switch's plastic display, are susceptible to scratches. You might wind up buying multiple plastic protectors for your Switch over time.

For the standard Nintendo Switch, we recommend the Maxboost plastic screen protector. At just 0.1mm of thickness, you likely won't even be able to tell it's there if applied correctly. While applying some plastic screen protectors is a more challenging endeavor, you get three chances with this Maxboost set.

Switch and Switch Lite owners can alternatively opt for Hori's Protective Filter, a PET plastic option that is officially licensed by Nintendo. Hori's Protective Filter is easier to apply than most plastic screen protectors, as you simply line it up and peel the sticker off. You only get one screen protector for Switch or Switch Lite, but if you follow the instructions, you should be just fine with the one.

For the Switch OLED, there aren't many plastic options so far, but Supershieldz has an anti-glare PET film protector. The PET film allows the screen to maintain its natural feel, and the anti-glare coating is a nice touch when playing while exposed to natural sunlight.
