TGS '07: Three new Kingdom Hearts games coming

LAME!!!! I want a KH for a real console, not some handheld for a mobile phone or the DS or PSP:(

Awesome:D, count me in for the DS and PSP games.

Wow, how did I know a couple of DS fanboys were going to flame me. News flash, I never knocked the DS, or it's games. I just said that even a Kingdom Hearts game, which is a series that I am very fond of, wouldn't get to buy a DS. It's not a console that I care to own, since it's games do not appeal to me. I never said it sucked, or it was bad, or anything like that. You guys took what I say way out of context. So much so that you nearly put words in my mouth. The thing about Kingdom Hearts is, if you want to do it anything like it's console counterpart, you'll need good technology supporting it. If you've seen anything from the PSP, you'd know it can almost get to the level of a PS2. Where the DS is far from it. So there is on reason to say that Birth by Sleep won't do that. And with the impressive tech the PSP has, I doubt they would choose a spin off over an action RPG like the prior two games were. So they'd need to do a spin off. And if it's anything like Chain of Memories, which myself, and many reviews found to be pretty mediocre, then it won't be a good game. Even though the PSP is not the same level of graphics that the PS2 is, but close too it, and even though it doesn't have all of the buttons an Dualshock does, games that most would consider full fledged games ended up on the console. I never called the DS weak, I never even knocked it at all. I just stated a fact, the the DS can't render graphics like the PSP can. And that's it. I don't find the DS appealing to me, and this isn't going to change that. A lot of people do like the DS, especially in Japan, that's great for them. But that's not my opinion. Quit being fanboys, I never said which system was better, or that one sucked, or that one had better games. Hell, I went much more into detail about Kingdom Hearts then I did about the consoles. Grow up, get over yourself. Stop taking things out of context. Jeez, I hate fanboys.

this DS version sounds ok not too thrilled about it just yet

Both sound different enough from each other to be worth buying all three, but I was kinda hoping for a full sequel. However, as far as the mobile one goes, well, why do you think only Japanese games get mobile spin offs? They have less kinds of phones. The requirements for buying that game (i.e. owning the right phone/network) are too annoying for the US to care about them at all.

This sucks balls....I figured worst case scenario the new Kingdom Hearts game would be on Wii. But this is way worse. Why on portable machines. I hate portable games and I don't own a DS or a PSP. I have a Wii and 360 and I'm sure I'll get a PS3 eventually so I would LOVE it if Kingdom Hearts came out on one of those systems...but not on freakin portables. These games will have crappy controls and crappy graphics...I hate Square Enix.

CTG, care to mention how the PSP can pull off a Full Fledged Kingdom Hearts game while missing the Right Analog stick? L2 and R2? Your calling the DS weak because its graphics arent as pretty as the PSPs. They dont have as good Graphics. However, they can actually pull off comfortable controls, and make good, engaging games. Its no where close to "Low Technology". And your daft to think it is. The PSP version sounds as much of a Spin Off as the DS version. The difference is, in the PSP one, you control the Chaser Folk, and explore a new story line. In the DS one, you go back, and learn more background, to better learn the story you already know. You get to learn about Roxas, Axel, and probably the Organization. More then just "Their Nobodies, they control other nobodies, we have to take them out." Its a shame people judge games they; for one, know nothing about, and two, slander game systems they can't produce as pretty of a picture as another console. Id rather have a Fun game, thats easy to control, with N64 Graphics then a Pretty looking, PS2 Graphic game, thats awkward to play.

ctg867.... in case you haven't noticed, the only thing that the PSP has that the DS doesn't is high quality graphics. And if graphics alone are reason enough for you to not play a DS game then you are a sad excuse for a KH fan. I, on the other hand now have to find someone with a PSP so I can borrow it to play the PSP game, which sounds more interesting.... Back to the point: the PSP has NEVER been better than the DS. PERIOD. Unless you like an unimaginable number of console ports and sports games, that is...then the PSP is the greatest system ever. Technology has absolutely nothing to do with which system is better unless they are equal in every other aspect, but since that is clearly far from true.... Statistically and personally (every single person that i know that has played both handhelds, regardless of age, preferred the DS over the PSP. Final Word: PSP game SOUNDS better, but the DS has a bigger fanbase, especially in Japan, so they developers might focus their efforts into the DS game more than the PSP game.

As far as the DS game is concerned, nothing, not even that, will make me spend $130 on a DS. I figure it'll just be a low tech, average game that I won't enjoy that much. The PSP game could be very good, since they could make it like an actual Kingdom Hearts game, rather then some cheesy spin off like Chain of Memories was. I'm not saying the KH DS game will be a card game, but it'll be a cheesy spin off. There is no way you can do a full fledged Kingdom Hearts game on that low of technology. As far as the mobile game is concerned. Same thing for every mobile game out there, I couldn't care less. Mobile games are HUGE in Japan. Not here. Long story short, Kingdom Hearts on PSP is awesome. End sentence. End the need for anybody to care any further.

DS and PSP are gonna get some more love soon, cause they are region free!

Hrm... Them releasing a new Kingdom Hearts on the PSP will be my only reason for buying one. I cannot stand the PSP. The DS Version sounds sweet. Axel and Roxas in SIngle and Multiplayer Options. Probably includes the battle at Memory SkySkraper and such. And Axel being playable... Sweet. Definetly clear up all the dark area KH2 Left us. Mobile Phone game seems forgetable. It wont be worth it, I guarentee.

so the psp one will be the KH that has to do with the secret trailer at the end of KHII I guess, I'll just play that one.

sweeeeeeeeeeet! i can't wait to get the ds and psp versions. but im not too enthralled about a mobile version. i really hope that they annoumce something about the 3rd one soon. and yes Kightmare_King i bet they are scared about making one for the 360. only cause sony fan boys will gang up on them for not keeping the game on the playstation. o well, im just excited that they are at least thinking about us and are making a side scroller for us while they make the 3rd one.

Wake me up with Square/enix decides to make a KH game around 360 or PS3 or both at least...I'm not complaining about the DS or PSP I know both of them will be good ones...but mobile? nah...are they that scared to try the 360 or PS3? well i know they will for ps3 but i know they won't try anything for 360 (scared!).

y is every 1 moaning about there not being any next gen kingdom hearts games here. first psp and ds r next gen consoles because they r the newest hand held consoles out. second i bet like playing kh 2 without playing km com the storyline to the next one will hav major holes if not playing these ones. third kh com was just as fun as its console brothers. fourth who was stupid enough 2 not see this coming. Kingdom hearts on the PSP! Sora, Donald, Goofy.... Kingdom hearts is kinda dumb, but it's fun. Is that not what Videogames are supposed to be?

GYEA i only have a PSP but im proud because i want to see whats really behind birth by sleep i cant wait for this i dc too much about the DS and def not the mobile ones but il just see what ppl say about the whole ds thing...PSP FTW!!!!

Looking forward to the DS game; more Roxas Axel is awesome (not to mention insanely popular). The PSP game I have extremely high hopes for; that secret ending made it look spectacular. Mobile phone one doesn't really bother me either way. But no KHIII announced =[

Cool, a DS Kingdom Hearts game. :) Apparently, it's in 3D... which should be interesting. I'm curious to see what gameplay method they'll go with though, the card battling from CoM or the normal gameplay method used in the first two Kingdom Hearts games.
