Developers Re-Logic and Engine Software have revealed a new game which expands upon their action-sandbox game Terraria, first released in 2011. The new game is titled Terraria: Otherworld and is set an in an alternate dimension within the Terraria universe. It is presented as a "novel take on the Terraria experience."

Terraria: Otherworld places players into a formerly unspoiled world which has been "overrun by a malevolent force that has corrupted nature itself." Players must try to restore this world to its original condition. The game will combine sandbox elements with elements from the role-playing and strategy genres.

No mention of platforms or release date was made, though the original Terraria launched on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation Vita, Mac, and mobile devices. The developers will be showcasing the game at this year's Game Developer's Conference, so stay tuned to GameSpot for more possible updates from the show.
