Tekken series is garbage compared to street fighter. It is slow and blocky. You push buttons and it just leads to a couple of kicks. The whole combat system is slow as hell. Street figher has awesome combos n crud

@supersonikk Yes. But just because they release a game on the 360 as well does not make it any less great on the PS3. That was what you were implying and it doesn't make sense. Just ignore the fact that there's Final Fantasy and Tekken on the 360. You can either complain or enjoy that they're even making these games at all. Your choice.

Legend002 I don't think Soul Calibur needs anything like that at the moment. It's a good fighting game, but it's not really competitive. Nobody plays SC seriously these days. It's flashy, great fun when playing with people that aren't that much into fighting games. When you wanna get serious you play Tekken, SF or Virtua Fighter and that's why these games need to stay fresh.

So many Tekken titles going on. I would have preferred a Soul Calibur tag team instead... or V.

i remember playin the 1st one at the arcade with a friend before it even came to ps2. good game..bet the 2nd will be good too

@gamebeaten: I'm not too keen on taking my ps2 apart just to clean it, but I did try the tape method and it worked the first time I tried, but no more after that. Thanks anyway. :P

Meh...Tekken is a good series, but it's long past its heyday - I still think the greatest one was Tekken 3. The first Tag Tournament was good because it brought a new dimension to the series, but it has been done now. I'm not saying 5 & 6 weren't good quality fighters, but they didn't bring anything new to the table. To me they both just seemed like graphically updated versions of 3. As such I expect TTT2 will feel just like a graphical update of the original. Ah, Tekken 3, the reason I bought a PSone. Remember Tekken Ball and Tekken Force modes? Brilliant!

Arcade! Come on we all know the internet is todays arcade.

but the fun you have in arcades with all the ppls watching is great (unless u want to kill ur dad with heart attack of a party bill over 1grand)lol and considre what you can do there (ehe ya guys knows what i mean)

I like the idea of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 being released only in Arcades however I do not like the fact that japan will only release the arcade game in japanese arcades, the reason why I state this is because these days ARCADES ARE DEAD why are ARCADES DEAD because the same games that are in arcades can always be bought on home consoles the arcades need to go back to having games that are specifically for the arcade and not for consoles or the home systems call it crazy but i use to love going to the arcade and now the arcades suck cause they don't make games for the arcade anymore it would be amazing to see the same kind of creativity that goes into making ipod apps but with arcades but on a different level, and give people reasons to go back to arcades because arcades were not just a place where people went to play games they were also a place where guys and girls could meet up and mingle uhh make new friends things like that so in ending this arcades should now have games that are for arcades only, or there could be to different versions of the same game one version unique to arcades and another version of the same game that is for the home systems and different from the arcade game that way the arcades would have games that are always unique to arcades rather then being the same thing you would see on the home systems............hope this makes since.......later.

@ corte005 Arcades are dying or are basically dead, but there are still some in America (LA, NYC, Chicago) and definitely a couple of hot spots in Texas. Some of the best fighting gamers including top tekken players have come from Texas.

The first thing my niece and I did when I got TTT was open up that bowling min game. Fun as all hell. We still have an arcade up here where i live...the same one i used to go to almost 30 years ago......since it's only usually got racing and fighting games, the odds are looking pretty good they will eventually get it.

Well this made my day, I'm really excited for it. Too many fighting games are coming out though.

didn't know arcades still existed. live in SA, TX and haven't seen an arcade in a mall in like a decade.

Sweet!!! First, Street Fighter vs Tekken/Tekken vs Street Fighter. And now, Tekken Tag Tournament 2!!! I loved the first TTT, I'm seeing forward to play them all!

seriously?! the first tag tournament was only a game they almost rushed to come out toghether with the ps2 and was only all the characters from tekken 2 and 3,most wich were dissmised in 3 because they were almost the same as other characters, but here it was even worser because they were only little diferences between jack 2, prototype jack, and gun jack, or kazuya, jin(jin in tekken 3 had the same moves as kazuya +a few from jun), and devil, and the same happened with more characters, so crossovers like marvel vs capcom, or tekken vs street fighter yes, but tekken tag tournament, what for?! it is useless

I never owned a PS2, i had xbox so i didn't get a chance to play the tekkens of the previous generation. however i owned a PS1 and Tekken 3 is my all time favorite fighting game. I bought a 360 instead of a PS3, and when Tekken 6 came out i jumped on it. I was expecting them to have built upon what made tekken 3 so great, but I was dissappointed immediately. I traded it right away. So if this does come to 360, meh. I'm not certain i'm going to bother. However, street fighter x tekken looks very promising, and because of my dissappointment with tekken 6 i will probably purchase the version made by capcom.

Back during Tekken Tag 1 there was no XBOX 360. Plus the XBOX wasn't so popular back then. Now that the XBOX 360 is around, we 360 gamers take, you PS3 gamers give. You don't wanna give? Your problem.

I hope it will be on xbox 360 too. When the 360 and ps3 came out, I foolishly bought an xbox 360, after having all tekkens on ps2.

PS3 Only = Quality Tekken. Multiplat = Tekken 6 Standard. Which would you prefer?

I personally think that if this came out for the PS3, it would sell well over 1 million units in no time! I only have an xbox 360, and am intending on getting a ps3. I think tekken tag 2 should be a ps3 exclusive since the first one was on ps2 only.

:D Tekken Tag Tournament was so much fun!! I hope they bring back Ogre, True Ogre, Devil, Angel, Jun and Unknown for this one again!!

Hopefully they make it for 360 also.
