Tekken Hybrid touts taste of Tekken Tag 2
PS3-exclusive combo offering to feature Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue, with four playable characters sporting two costumes each.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 hasn't officially been announced for home consoles yet, but Namco Bandai is providing a strong indication it's on the way. As part of this November's Tekken Hybrid bundle on the PlayStation 3, Namco Bandai is including Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue, a stand-alone sample of the arcade fighter's offerings.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue will feature four playable characters: Alisa, Ling Xiaoyu, Devil Kazuya, and an as yet unannounced brawler. Each of the fighters will have two costumes: one exclusive to Tekken Hybrid and a second taken from the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 arcade game.
Beyond the Prologue, Tekken Hybrid will also include an HD remake of 2000's PlayStation 2 launch title Tekken Tag Tournament and a completely CG feature film called Tekken Blood Vengeance 3D. The movie tells the story of Xiaoyu as she infiltrates an international school at the behest of the G Corporation to gather information about another student, Shin Kamiya. Blood Vengeance 3D will be screened in more than 375 North American theaters tomorrow night, July 26, and will also receive a stand-alone DVD release later this year.
