It's still 11 months away, but we're already learning things about the 2018 Brasil Game Show. Event organisers have announced that Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada is the first confirmed international guest for next year's event.

Harada will be involved in the show's opening ceremony, while he will also participate in meet-and-greet sessions with fans. Additionally, the director will give presentations and serve on the cosplay contest jury. He'll also be honoured at the event with a Lifetime Achievement Award, while his name will be added to the event's Wall of Fame. This is for "legends in the industry," and other Wall of Fame honourees include Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima, Xbox boss Phil Spencer, Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon, and Atari founder Nolan Bushnell.

The 2018 Brasil Game Show takes place October 10-14 at the Expo Center Norte in Sao Paulo.

Marcelo Tavares, the CEO and founder of the Brasil Game Show, said in a statement that bringing in Harada for the 2018 event brings the show "to the next level" as part of its ambition to become one of the "most important gaming events in the world." Tavares teased that the announcement about Harada's participation is just the first in a series of "big announcements" about next year's show coming in the next months.
