TDK signs the UFC

TDK Mediactive secures the rights to the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Comments

TDK Mediactive has announced that it has secured the rights to produce games based on the Ultimate Fighting Championship, a mixed-martial-arts competition. The first game to be published by TDK will be UFC: Tapout 2, which was originally going to be published by Crave Entertainment. "UFC fan-base demographics mirror that of the gaming industry's bleeding-edge consumers," said Michael Devine, TDK Mediactive executive vice president of sales and marketing. "They want to be pummeled by the hottest technology and pounded by great gameplay and realism. We provide all that and more, with superior mesh physiology, real-time shadow mapping, and more than 1,500 fighting moves and combinations." UFC: Tapout 2 is scheduled for release on the Xbox in March. For more information, check out our previous coverage.
