Considering its experience with Wallace & Gromit, Strong Bad, and Sam & Max, Telltale Games pretty much has the whole monthly episodic release schedule down to a science at this point. With the first installment of its new Tales of Monkey Island adventure series debuting on the PC and Wii in July, the developer said today that episode two, The Siege of Spinner Cay, will be available for the desktop platform on August 20.

In the first episode, Launch of the Screaming Narwhal, franchise protagonist Guybrush Threepwood found himself once again hassled by the undead pirate LeChuck, who had once again kidnapped the errant sailor's wife. Episode two picks up where the first left off, with Threepwood having just escaped Flotsam Island aboard The Screaming Narwhal and on the prowl for LeChuck.

Telltale's Tales of Monkey Island adventure is a five-part series in all. On the PC, episodes can not be purchased stand-alone; rather, all five are packaged together for $34.95 and sold through Telltale's Web site. PC gamers are able to access new installments as they are made available.

The developer did not indicate when the Wii version will be available for download through Nintendo's WiiWare service. Check out GameSpot's review of the first installment for more on the game.
