Grand Theft Auto publisher find increase financial well-being in Q2 '99.

Take-Two announced its fiscal earnings for the second quarter ending April 30, 1999. Net sales rose 31 percent to US$52,165,332. Net income rose a sharp 215 percent (from Q2 98) to $1,561,172. Diluted earnings per share were up to $0.08 compared with Q2 98's $0.03 diluted earnings.

Twelve-month net sales for the company ending April 30, 1999 were $223,143,820, with $9,319,516 from net income and $0.49 in diluted earnings per share.

The company feels that strong consumer demand for Grand Theft Auto Director's Cut and games from the Gathering of Developers and TalonSoft helped to boost the company's financial health.
