I wish investors wouldn't shit their pants so often.

lol xD what the hell are their problems? delays are sometimes good! don't push R* too hard! take it easy and everything would be worth it. look at bioware.. they were pushed by EA now look at their game.. it was all going well until the last 20 or 10 minutes f^cked up

Delays are pretty good for gamers, and while they are not bad for investors, they'd drive the stocks down.

Stocks reflect an expectation of future. When a game can't release on time, the expected benefit at completion is the same, but the cost increases as dev time increases. Just like a construction project that suddenly requires additional mat/labour.

The stocks can fall even harder if they choose to rush, but a delay will still cause a drop due to decreased expectation of net benefit.

better time to buy... wish i had money..

I'm thinking the announcement of the PS4 might have something to do with the delay. If GTA V ends up being a launch title, it will be a gold mine for R* and Sony.

Ouch. I was working through GTA4 to get ready for 5 in March. Dag Nabit. At least it will "be released" on my bday now.

Well, that happened really freakin fast.

A few months is nothing. But if next gen consoles are coming out next X-mas i could see some conflict but not much.

That's too bad, but Rockstar doesn't exactly have a track record for releasing crappy and rushed games. I'm sure GTAV will benefit from the delay. Now just give it to me on my Wii U please!

When a company realizes they won't hit a particular initial projection window to ensure we receive a quality product, complain.. When a company sends out a product that feels incomplete, complain. If they cancel the project altogether, complain.

Just wait. They will have the game all set for this, now IF rumours are to be believed, PS4 is coming at the end of the year and they will upgrade the graphics for that. Make it a release game (GTA a release game for next gen, WTF! that WILL sell). Its not that hard to take the code for say, PS3 version and make it look better for, say, PS4. Its like doing it for a PS vita game and a PS3 one. Wait and see......

I guess someone must have found out that I'm actually really interested in buying this game so they delayed it five months past when I thought it was gonna be released. It seems like even the small things like this are going bad. Sorry guys.

Its going to be a cross gen title. One for todays consoles and one for the ones coming out at around same time as this new release date.....watch and see.

Red Dead Redemption on PC, do it. I wouldn't play it, 'cause I don't have a PC to play it, I would if I did. I just think that, that sounds like a great idea. Furthermore, while I have no doubt that GTA 5 will be a great game, and I do absolutely love the past ones for the most part, I almost have zero excitement over this game. It does look great, but I'm more interested in other games right now.

Yes that makes sense now. They will likely delay it again until November, and make it a launch title for next Gen consoles (or make it a release on current and next gen simultaneously). Why make it for a console that is going to be out classed just two months later?

Being so late in the cycle and coming out AFTER the new consoles will be shown at E3, this game will probably get a next generation console port 6 to 8 months later to coincide with the release of the PC port.

They delayed way too long in my opinion next ten consoles will be coming out soon. We still have to wait almost 2 and half seasons

They will not admit to having it on PC until after they sell it on consoles. They are hoping you will buy it twice (considering most PC gamers have a console as well). Face it. If done right on the PC, it will be like a whole different game (GTA IV with modds/high res texture packs/ENB is on a whole different level) . Not to mention the mods that would add content.

LAME! I'll still buy it in September but they deserved to get hit in the stocks for this projecting fail.

I LITERALLY JUST SWITCHED A DOWN PAYMENT TO THIS GAME ON THE NOTION THAT IT WAS COMING OUT SOONER. I'm rather disappointed.

Has Rockstar shorted those stocks before making the announcement, I wonder... :-P

This sucks, I was really thinking May at the latest and now we have to wait till September. I guess Rockstar thinks we haven't waited long enough.

What an epic fail. Sorry, I love the GTA series and Rockstar's games, but September? Come on. The next Xbox and PS4 will be coming out two months later.

i wonder if they delayed it cause of school shooting like they did to gta3 even took the wings of the planes man sep so far away well i had two games i wanted this year, gta5 will have to wait unless they want to delay it again in sep and the other game i want now is state of decay at least s.o.d will come out in spring zombies and gta should keep me busy

It's a shame all this work is going into such outdated hardware, but I hope it all pays off and the game is great.

No news about pc version and then mega delay, this game is going of my interest list for now.
