Square Enix has announced the company's plans to reshuffle the management of its subsidiary company Taito Corporation, according to Japanese news site Impress Watch.

Taito CEO Yasuo Nishigaki will move on to chair the company's board of directors. Filling his shoes will be none other than Square Enix CEO Youichi Wada, who is also the current chairman of Taito's board of directors. The company stated that Wada will continue to head Square Enix while fulfilling his duties as Taito CEO.

Taito was acquired by Square Enix after a successful takeover bid last year. Impress speculates that following this management reshuffle, Wada might begin developing Taito's arcade assets in the direction of network play and online community building.
