The developers of Interplay's recent action game Evolva have established a new London, UK-based studio called Synaptic Soup. Cofounders Vince Farquharson (Evolva's producer/lead designer), Rik Heywood (Evolva's lead programmer), and Karl Wickens (Evolva's lead artist) have formed the studio to develop a new game for "all major formats." The three have a track record with major UK developers such as Bullfrog, Computer Artworks, and The Digital Village.

"Synaptic Soup is dedicated to developing the very best games and technology," said Vince Farquharson, who is now the development director for Synaptic Soup. "We are all very excited to be involved in what are proving to be our most technically accomplished and fun projects to date."
