Amazon Prime Video has released a new trailer for Samaritan, the streaming service's upcoming movie about an aging superhero who shuns the spotlight. The film is due for an August 26 release.

Samaritan is about a young boy who comes to the realization that Samaritan, a famed superhero, may still be alive despite being believed to have gone missing after an epic battle 25 years prior. It's based on the Mythos Comics graphic novels authored by Bragi F. Schut, Marc Olivent, and Renzo Podesta, which gets into what living life in the shadows as a superhero looks like--with an emphasis on realism. Check out the trailer below, which suggests fans of Unbreakable will find a lot to appreciate about this film.

Sylvester Stallone stars as Smith, a former superhero turned garbage man. Javon "Wanna" Walton (Euphoria) plays the young kid who believes he's been saved by Samaritan. The film's cast also includes Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), Pilou Asbæk (Game of Thrones), and Dascha Polanco (Orange is the New Black). Samaritan comes from a script by Bragi F. Schut (Escape Room, Ninjago), and is directed by Julius Avery (Overlord, Son of a Gun).
