Action icon Sylvester Stallone might be best known for two huge movie roles, Rocky Balboa and John Rambo, but the star has appeared in many films outside of those two franchise. One favorite is the 1993 sci-fi action comedy Demolition Man. The movie was a moderate hit and has become a cult classic, but a follow-up has sadly never materialized. However, Stallone has now revealed that Demolition Man 2 is in the works.

The news was revealed during an Instagram Q&A, in which Stallone answered questions sent in from fans. Stallone was asked if he would make another Demolition Man, to which the action star replied: "I think it [is] coming. We're working on it right now with Warner Brothers, and it's looking fantastic. So that should come out. That's gonna happen."

Stallone's entire post is great listening, but if you want to skip to the Demolition Man quotes, it's at 5:46 below:

This news follows the resolution of a lawsuit between Stallone and Warner over the his share of the profits from four of his movies, including Demolition Man. Stallone sued the studio in 2017, claiming that he hadn't received any profits from Demolition Man, The Specialist, Cobra, and Tango & Cash. However, the case was settled last year, and it sounds like Demolition Man 2 has now been put into development at the studio.

Demolition Man starred Stallone as cop John Spartan, who is cryogenically frozen and reanimated in the crime-free future to take down his criminal nemesis Simon Phoenix, played by Wesley Snipes. The movie also gave Sandra Bullock her first major movie role, and was directed by Marco Brambilla.

Stallone has revisited both of his most famous roles in recent years. He played Rocky in the two successful Creed movies, while Rambo: Last Blood was released in September last year. Creed 3 is also in development, although it's unknown if Stallone will return for that.
