VU Games today announced that it has deployed SWAT 4: The Stetchkov Syndicate to stores across North America. Rated M for Mature, the PC expansion retails for $19.99 and requires the critically acclaimed original SWAT 4 to play.

SWAT 4: The Stetchkov Syndicate adds seven missions to the original game, all of which feature a storyline concerning the titular Russian crime family. All of the new missions are playable in single-player, multiplayer, and co-op modes, the last of which has been expanded from 5 to a maximum of 10 players. The game will also add built-in voice over IP to the game, allowing for built-in voice communication.

Besides the above enhancements, the Stetchkov Syndicate also sports the new Smash and Grab multiplayer mode and several new objective types, including preventing evidence destruction and suspect flight. It will also add new weapons (SWAT- and suspect-only submachine guns and rifles) and equipment (night vision goggles, light sticks) to the game.
