You can register for updates on the game's official site, which promises that "this electrifying sequel injects a delirious dose of adrenaline straight into the heart of the original, cranking everything up to a whole new level." It also drops another multiplayer hint: "expect a handful (or four?) of surprises along the way!"

In fact, digging a little further, the press section of the site promises co-op play and an expanded set of mechanics. "Surgery will, of course, remain at the heart of the experience, but as the trailer suggests, Surgeon Simulator 2 will be a vastly expanded offering promising true co-operation, at the very least."

Platforms have not been announced at this time.
