Superhot Has a VR Mode, Out Now
First person shooter gets even more first person.
Superhot, the unique FPS where time only moves when you do, is now playable in VR.
It's a standalone expansion, "reimagined and redesigned from the ground up for VR," reads a press release. It's unclear how long the VR campaign will last in terms of playtime, though 75 action sequences are included, as well as 26 different locations. You can check it out yourself in the trailer above.
Superhot VR will set you back £19 in the UK--and that doesn't include the non-VR campaign. It's also worth noting that the newly-released Oculus Touch controllers are required, for now at least--the VR edition is a timed exclusive to Oculus.
We enjoyed the base game here at GameSpot, with critic Peter Brown awarding it an 8. For more, check out our full Superhot Review. The new Oculus Touch controllers, meanwhile, are apparently pretty good; in our review, critic Jimmy thang calls them a "must-buy for every Rift owner." Check out our full Oculus Touch review here.
