Nintendo has announced a new patch for the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros., revealing that it will adjust game balance and fix bugs, but also block you from viewing previously saved replays.

Per a post on Nintendo's website (translated by Kotaku), update 1.0.4. will adjust game balance and "fix various problems to make the game more enjoyable to play." Nintendo has not yet detailed the gameplay balance tweaks and fixes, though that should come later through official patch notes.

Update 1.0.4. also impacts other areas of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS. After you apply the update--which is required for online play--you won't be able to play offline multiplayer with people running version 1.0.3 or lower. In addition, the update will block you from playing your replays.

According to another translation on Reddit, the new update for Super Smash Bros. for 3DS should be released sometime in November. For more on Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, check out GameSpot's review and what other critics are saying.
