A new poster for the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie has been revealed, and it follows a pretty traditional format. We see main characters like Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong, Peach, Toad, and Bowser front and center, with the image divided between good and evil color schemes and motifs.

As with many Mario games and media, the film will see Mario--voiced by Chris Pratt--embarking on a journey to defeat Bowser, or at least stop him until he can return again. It's a pretty slick-looking poster and does the job of helping drum up excitement for the long-awaited movie.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie was originally pegged to release in Holiday 2022 before getting delayed to April 2023. It's now set for release on April 7, 2023.

The animated film is produced by Illumination, the company behind the Despicable Me and Minions franchises, and is directed by animation veterans Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic. The screenplay was written by The Lego Movie 2's Matthew Fogel.

In addition to Pratt as Mario, the Super Mario Bros. Movie features Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, and Seth Rogen as DK. Check out GameSpot's breakdown of everything you need to know about the Mario movie.
