THQ has confirmed that its role-playing game Summoner has gone gold and will soon ship to stores. The game was developed by Volition, and it lets players assume the role of a young wizard whose powers can save the world from an impending demon invasion. Summoner features a fully 3D engine, a large and detailed gameworld, and numerous non-player characters and monsters.

Also, take a look at our in-depth review of the Sony PlayStation 2 version, which was released last October. The PC version of Summoner is scheduled for release on March 20 for a suggested retail price of $39.99.
