Two new posters for the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong have been released. The highly-anticipated monster movie hits theaters and HBO Max on March 31.

The posters are very striking and set the tone for the epic monster showdown that the movie promises to deliver. The first shows King Kong at the far end of a city street, with Godzilla's claw close to us. The second poster is the reverse of the same shot, with Godzilla, at the far end and ready for battle, and Kong's paw hanging down. Check them out below:

Godzilla vs. Kong is the fourth movie in Legendary's MonsterVerse, following Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017), and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019). It stars Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, Alexander Skarsgård, and Rebecca Hall, and is directed by Adam Wingard (Death Note, The Guest). Check out the latest teaser here.

Wingard recently appeared at IGN's Fan Fest, where he reassured fans that the movie will have a definitive winner. "I just wanted this to feel like the real matchup. I wanted you to walk away from this--wanted there to be no more arguments on the playground," he said. "This is the decider, you know, you don't have to debate it anymore you watch this. That's Godzilla, that's King Kong, they're beating the s*** out of each other, and one wins. And, you know, that's it."

In related news, Wingard is planning to make a sequel to John Woo's '90s action favorite Face/Off, which starred Nicolas Cage and John Travolta. He recently stated that he had no interest in making a remake, and that "this is either going to be the definitive follow up to that movie and everything that that entails, or I'm not going to make it."
