Capcom confirmed on its blog that the in-game store won't be available at launch. You'll have to wait until March to unlock story costumes for Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li (pictured above). Each costume becomes unlocked for purchase in the game's store when you complete the appropriate Character Story.

Survival Mode was also detailed, revealing that the mode will consist of you battling CPU opponents with your health and EX gauge carrying over between matches. Each victory earns you points which can be spent on powerups like health, attack, and defense increases. However, purchasing powerups decreases your overall score. Clearing difficulty levels rewards you with new colors and in-game titles.

Street Fighter V's Challenge Mode was detailed as well. It will consist of four categories when all of its sub-modes release after launch. You can check out their details below:

Battle Tips (Available March)

  • Learn the ins and outs of Street Fighter V through helpful demonstration and tutorial content. Contains content for each of the 16 characters, as well as advice geared towards all levels of players.

Trials (Available March)

  • Put your skills to the ultimate test with combo trials for all 16 characters, ranging from basic to pro combos.

Targets (Soon After Launch)

  • Complete daily renewing goals to earn fight money, in-game titles, and other cool content.

Extra Battle (Soon After Launch)

  • Fight against special CPU bosses in the ultimate challenge. Earn in-game rewards upon completion.

You can check out more pictures of the costumes and modes on Capcom Unity.

Capcom ended the blog post by sharing an image detailing the DLC release windows. It was recently confirmed that Street Fighter III's Alex would be the first DLC character added to the game. It looks like Street Fighter V will receive a piece of DLC every month through September.
