Strategy First has announced that it will publish eSim Games' tank-combat simulation Steel Beasts next month. The game was released online by Shrapnel Games last September, but the new agreement with Strategy First will bring the game into retail stores for the first time.

Steel Beasts is a realistic simulation of modern warfare that focuses on two real-world battle tanks: the US M1A1 Abrams and the German Leopard 2A4. Players can assume the role of either the gunner or the tank commander, and they can also take control of the tactical planning by using the map mode. In addition, the game can be played in either cooperative or competitive multiplayer modes.

For more information, read our full review of the game. Steel Beasts will be distributed in North America by Infogrames, and it is scheduled to ship on May 22 with a suggested retail price of $39.95.
