Stranger Things Season 4: New Photos Arrive, Featuring The Cast Looking Perplexed

Stranger Things returns for Season 4 on May 27 to Netflix, and the latest offering of the show will be split into two parts across nine, hour-long episodes. Now, Netflix has released new photos for the upcoming season.

The latest season takes place six months after "The Battle of Starcourt." The group of friends from Hawkins are separated for the first time, and trying to figure out high school on their own. However, there's a new supernatural threat they must battle. Check out all the pictures Netflix released below, which features most of the cast looking scared.

This season stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, and more. The Duffer Brothers will continue to serve as executive producers and will direct Episodes 401, 402, 407-409. Shawn Levy and Nimród Antal will also direct two episodes each this season.

There have already been a couple of trailers so far, with the latest one arriving back in November--so be prepared for another one to hit soon. The wait between Season 3 and 4 has taken longer than expected because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Duffer Brothers have said that Season 4 is the most ambitious one yet. Titles for the nine episodes were revealed back in November as well.

Season 5 will conclude the story of Stranger Things; however, spinoffs could be in the cards. Stranger Things returns on May 27 for the first batch of episodes and will conclude on July 1.
