[UPDATE] Netflix has now confirmed Millie Bobby Brown will return as Eleven for Stranger Things Season 2. She can be seen here in this table read photo.

The original story is below.

Stranger Things Season 2 isn't slated to debut until 2017, but now a major piece of news about the season has been reported. TV Line has heard from sources that Millie Bobby Brown, who played the mysterious and powerful character Eleven, will return for Season 2. Netflix declined to comment.

Season 1 wrapped up with Eleven defeating the monster, but apparently losing her life in the process. All hope wasn't lost, however, as one of Season 1's final scenes showed Police Chief hopper dropping off some Eggo waffles in a container in the woods, presumably for Eleven.

There is still a good deal of mystery and intrigue about Eleven, including her upbringing and the development of her powers. Hopefully Season 2 has some answers for fans.

Stranger Things Season 2 premieres on Netflix in 2017. According to Matt and Ross Duffer, the show's creators, it will be "darker and weirder" than the first season.

The plot is a mystery, but Netflix has confirmed that actors from Power Rangers and American Odyssey are joining the show for its second season.

In other Stranger Things news, Funko has announced a series of Pop Vinyl figures based on characters from the show, evening including the Demogorgon.
