Stellar Nintendo Switch Collections Discounted To Lowest Prices Yet

Borderlands Legendary Collection, BioShock: The Collection, and XCOM 2 Collection are on sale for low prices at Amazon.

Though it's great that the Nintendo Switch gets a bunch of ports of beloved third-party games, it's not uncommon for the price to feel a tad high. This was the case with BioShock: The Collection, Borderlands Legendary Collection, and XCOM 2 Collection, all of which released in May on Switch for $50 each. If you've wanted to play any of these stellar collections, Amazon and Walmart have all three discounted to their lowest price yet at $33 each.

To be clear, these collections were probably worth the full price already if you hadn't played them on a different platform. But if you were looking to revisit them on a handheld device, the retail price for Switch greatly eclipsed what you'd pay to play any of these on PS4, Xbox One, or PC.

BioShock: The Collection compiles all three games in the atmospheric and gripping first-person shooter series as well as the DLC released for each one. Borderlands Legendary Collection includes Borderlands: Game of the Year edition, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. XCOM 2 Collection has the base game, War of the Chosen expansion, and four DLC packs.

All three collections hold up well on Switch, though don't expect them to look quite as nice as they do on other platforms. Before you buy, you should know that all three 2K Games collections require a microSD card to play. BioShock: The Collection has a 46GB download, XCOM 2 eats up 25GB, and Borderlands Legendary Collection takes up 49GB of storage space. Thankfully, high capacity microSD cards for Switch are pretty cheap, with a 256GB SanDisk card costing only $41 at Amazon.
